Iranian Pavilion

I was just on the D23 website and read an interview with Harper Goff. At the end of the article they stated the following:

"Today he is back at WED working on the German and Iranian Pavilions for EPCOT World Showcase."

Interesting.

That has got to be a spell checker gone wild - maybe they meant Italian ??

It appears to be a re-print of an article in "Wed-Way" from June 10, 1977. It would be good for the D23 folks to include the orginial print date if, indeed, this is a re-publication of an older article.

Harper Goff passed away March 3, 1993.

haha. it actually hit me today at work that he was no longer with us. i realized then i made a mistake in something. it would have helped if they printed when the original article was from....oh well!

Iran was being planned but when the revolution began and US/Iranian relations broke down, they scrapped an Iran Pavillion. Harper Goff went on to work on another classic that did come to fruition: Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory.
