Looks really cool. I'm sure you can get some unbelievable pictures. Being a pilot and someone who works in the aviation business I love anything that fly's but I'm not sure if this is for me. Now I'm sure Disney did all the research and testing on this to ensure safety. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe I'm just too overly cautious.
Jack Spence's blog on AllEars.net has great photos from his trip.
i can't wait to go on this in the summer
I will think about it. Heights are not my fave but this seems pretty cool, so the view of Disney might win over the fear of heights.
That looks amazing, a great addition to that area:thumbs:
Last week when we were in DTD, I noticed that they were taking certain CM's up for a test flight. The looks of excitement on their faces was priceless!!!
i cant wait till i go on it this summer. it sounds really awesome
- puts on list of things to do at least twice on my next disney vacation -
I got some pictures of it recently, although not in the air:

When I drove by on I-4 on Easter Sunday I could see it in the air from the highway. Cool!
Anyone know someone that has gotten to ride yet?
They were letting anyone ride when I was there! It looked amazing! I could see it from my hotel(not on property!) I was unable to ride though because we unfortunately were on a schedule we had to stick to. :( I'll be moving up June 27th though to the Orlando area, so I will get my chance then!
it was running when i was there last weekend. hubby and i were in line to buy tickets
($16.00 a person)
and i chickened out I dont fly and heights ...well...you get the picture.
but good thing we didnt, because when the balloon got up there the wind started whipping it around, i would have been terrified
Every time I went the week of May 24 - May 31, it was not flying due to inclement weather, so, I was not able to try it out. I did finally see it up in the air after the D23 event on May 31, but, it was too late for us to head over there and ride it. Hopefully, it will still be there next time I go.
I plan on doing this when I go In November assuming the weather cooperates. This looks like such a great opportunity. If I could I would love to take a helicopter tour over WDW someday. For now I'll dish out the 16 bucks to do this.
