DisneyDaddy,
I sure hope you are right and this is not the last we see of Marty Sklar!
Great interview with Lou, by the way, about D23. I have been a bit behind on the podcasts and just listened to it today. I also joined D23 today. I was "on the fence" but from what I have seen and heard I decided it is definitely worth it!

Kudos to OAM for getting this. I don't know who else may have received the email in question.
I don't think we've seen the last of Marty Sklar, by any stretch of the imagineering, uhh, imagination. Many of the Disney legends retired and then came back to work on special projects. I would not at all be surprised if Mr. Sklar did the same.
Thanks for your note about the podcasts. It's a real thrill to do a segment with Lou.

I just hope he still comes out for special events and for interviews and such, whenever he shows up on these things, whatever segment or celebration is being discussed instantly gains this sort of mystical credibility. He's such an endearing person to listen to and a lot of that charm comes from his history with the organization and links to Walt. If the man needs to retire from the day to day inner-workings, I understand. I just hope he sticks around for the special events!
