After only a month and half of being open Disney is already closing the new show in Tomorrowland. The last performance will be June 27, 2009. Wow i wonder where they went wrong with this one..
The story is on Orlando Sentinel and i have the link but, i don't have enough posts to post the link i guess, any help for a link would be great thanks![]()
Yeah, that sounds about right. We saw the show in May and I must say, my first impression was that it was thrown together to fill space and draw people deeper into Tomorrowland until Space Mountain opened again. Haven't we seen 'Elvis Stitch' somewhere before??? My second impression was that this wasn't going to be around long.

Once again the imagineers swing and miss in Tomorrowland.
Ya, it got REALLYYYYYY BADDDD reviews. They should open up a sweet COP gift shop.

It's amazing to think that this all started with one little mouse.
I saw a video and it looked like something you would find at a Chuckie Cheese or another corny place like that.

I watched the video on Youtube. Here are my thoughts:
The show needs more Galactic Girls and less stitch and it wouldn't as be bad. OK that's a lie. It would still be bad but I would watch it then.
as i said on the other thread, i believe it's due time for a declaration:
epic fail.
the name just sounds like a corny capitalization on characters

the technology behind some of the items in the show was good. That's about it.
I don't want to turn this into a put down stitch party, but when is disney going to stop trying to get us to like him. Also, it was as if they knew the new show would fail and didn't want to put it on some kind of permanent stage or building. If the Imagineers aren't committed to the attraction, how can they expect guests to buy in?

yeah they will i am sure. but it was setup just for this show. will see what they do down the road.
Maybe the stitch show was just thrown together to make immediate use of the stage. Perhaps they have something better planned for that space.
i actually thought of this from the opposite angle. Having lost the Galaxy theater, I thought they were creating a special stage for their seasonal events... (Merry Christmas Party... Halloween Party.. magic music days...) They have been working to give those events more permanent structures. (See the structure next to innoventions) so i felt the stage was built to be the "new working stage in Tomorrowland".
I'd guess the Stitch show was created to utilize the stage into existence. Even an afterthought. After seeing the Stitch show live I felt it was light and entertaining but outside the performers salaries, it has little to no budget. (Again, if the stage was budgeted separately)
I'd guess we will see that stage used moving forward pretty frequently so monies toward that are not down any drain.
thoughts?
Whatcha doin'? Hibernatin'?
