actually.......these types of crimes are much LESS frequent than the "old days"
We live in a 24/7 news world and these things are just reported much more now.
20 years ago....we never would have known about it.
I am also sickened by it....but i also realize that our kids are safer today, than yester year.
Violence ALSO, against kids is way down from the past.

I agree 100%! There is no cure for these scumbags, no therapy or counseling is going to cure them. They are a pure menace to every child walking the face of the Earth. I haven't seen the numbers but yo may be right. The difference now though is that the assailant's are more likely to kill their victim's then in the past. For some reason these monsters believe they won't get caught if there's no victim/witness.

It certainly helps with the recidivism rate but I don't think it's a deters the crime at all. This isn't the best place to get into a discussion about the death penalty, which I believe in. I do agree with who ever said that parents need to remember to watch their kids at WDW.
