Disney to acquire Marvel - What do you think?

In my own opinion as long as they dont over do it, or replace great attractions with similar but marvel orientated ones, i'll be happy

That's wat i was thinkin, as long as they don't go overboard with the characters, then i think it will be awesome to have them in the parks and have merchandise based on the superheroes.

I like it myself. Disney has been struggling with the young boys market. They haven't thought of anything so just buy it

Not sure, but I'm willing to bet that they'll have a lot more people coming in soon. People are jumping to Marvel leaving that park so fans will pour in to get that last ride. Comparable to what happens when Disney removes or closes an attraction like Toad.

Honestly this could go either way. On one hand they could make lots of plans and then do nothing like they did with the Muppets. On the other hand they could go nuts like they did with Pixar themed attractions. One thing for certain is that Disney has a mixed history when it comes to acquiring the original properties of others.

I just hope that Disney views Marvel characters as being a true part of its family of characters.

Just found some info about the deal with Universal and IOA:

Universal has the rights to those rides for as long as the ride stays open.

The question is will Universal want to rebrand not if they have to

IMHO I think they should put that Amazing Spider-Man ride right into The Streets Of New York, god knows there is nothing really going on there so I think it's a nice fit. I think that's about it though lol I don't want Marvel overtaking the parks.

omg that is an awesome idea. never thought of that.

there's only 3 thing there, Light,motor,action extreme stunt show, Muppet Vision and the Honey I shrunk the kids play area.

that would be so cool to put the Spidey ride there.

1)there Disney
and 2) they now own those Marvel rides at IoA, besides theres only like 3 ride thats marvel there, the rest of that are is shops

They don't own the Universal rides. I read in several places Universal has use of the Marvel characters east of the Mississippi.


and it's "they're" not "there".
