Marvel?!!

What does everyone think of Disney acquiring Marvel? With Universal having so many Marvel based attractions, what will be their future? Will Disney start having Marvel based attractions?

Marvel and Disney = awesome. I think Universal will continue to operate their park as normal and start cutting checks to Disney for rights to use them. I can't see Disney moving those thrill rides to the World. And I can't imagine them telling Universal to tear it down. Those rides and experiences build the Marvel brand - which is what Disney wants.

While it may be a nice acquisition, I do not wnat to see the Marvel characters moving to WDW. They have a nice home at Universal and i would not want to see the magic change at WDW.

I agree. I can't see the Marvel characters going to WDW except maybe in a DHS stunt show or something like that. The Islands of Adventure has so many Marvel based attractions, I don't see Disney trying to trump them.

I think they would be great at DHS. Whats the difference between that and Indy Jones?

But its not happening for a ride yet. Universal has exclusive rights for awhile east of the Miss River

I read that Disney will honor the current contracts that Marvel signed until they expire. I think you will see the Marvel characters stay at Universal until these contracts are up. I don't think you will see Disney leave any of their owned properties at another park. Disney didn't acquire Marvel to share, it was purchased to make Disney money.
