and sadly no one's voting for it
I think with John Lasseter having his hand in it , we will see the plan as forwarded probally with some plussing added as they go along over the 3 to 4 year construction period.
I'd like to believe its going to look very similar to the artist rendering of it, but given the history of disappointments, I've decided not to get my hopes up. That way, if they do follow through, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I just hope that Fantasyland doesn't just become a lot of real estate for princess and fairie character greets. I am worried that there won't be enough for boys and that the whole land will become to girl centric rather than child centric.
When they mention attractions for boys, they say they'll have villain character greets (????) - hello? where are the imagineers?
I'm cautious. Drawings can change so much. And as an adult, I'd ride the Mermaid but the rest of the new stuff...won't keep me in Fantasyland a lot longer. I think back to when my DS was small, he would not have been excited about this.
Remember Disney's target audience for Fantasyland: young girls. Fantasyland really has never been a land for boys. That's Tomorrowland, Frontierland and Adventureland.

Actually original disneyland fantasyland was rather well balanced. The boys got peter pan and mr toad... the girls got snow white and alice. They both like its a small world, dumbo, the carousel, the mad tea party, and the storybookland canal boats/casey jr.... I just hope the meet and greets don't stay forever....
I think we will get a great fantasyland expansion here. planned and plussed. Now we can only hope that other lands in all the parks will be added to, improved on, and redone!
The Golden age never was the present age… but with human liberty we can fulfill the promise and meaning of America. To everyone a chance. To all people, regardless of their birth the right to live, to work, to be themselves, and to become whatever their visions can combine to make them. This is the promise of America...And I foresee the American adventure to continue for a long, long time!

Are you 23? I am!
"Fantasyland is dedicated to the young and young at heart; to those who believe that when you wish upon a star, your dreams do come true."- Walt Disney's Fantasyland Dedication Speech, July 17, 1955
Not sure how that dedication says that it's all for girls...
While I am all for "re-imagineering" the lands/park - I think that a lot of thought was put into Walt's words of dedication and that the current Disney Company needs to own up to it's original vision...
Thanks HauntedGabe - I am also a "Boxperson" although I don't post much...
