I rode it yesterday as well. Not a bad spiel. The big excitement for me was seeing some testing going on with ride vehicles on SM. The vehicles were empty, but they were definitely moving on the track.

Thank you for reminding me! I didn't see any testing, but the ride cars were stopped on the lift hill.

Re: It's Kinda of a Sad Day For The T.T.A.

I'm heart sick. I don't think I want to ride TTA any more. The spiel was the whole point, and yes, we had it memorized and quote it often. Such good memories.

It doesn't seem like a good omen, that nobody was minding the store at the MK to stop this stupidity.

I rode TTA and really didn't like the new spiel but I only rode it once so really didn't pay much attention to what it was saying.
Tell you what was cool though. The ride stopped twice and when ever the magnets stops pulling it along it backs up a couple feet till it settles.

hmm...i have yet to hear the new audio in person, but i did watch the videos. Im not sure...its definitely not as bad as i thought it would be, but it just isnt the same. The old one actually felt like you were in Tomorrowland, like really in the future. This one, not so much. This guys too peppy to me. He's not future-y enough

Super-skyway was a much better line. Though the idea is supposed to be about travelling around via mass transit, so the highway in the sky fits. Sort of.

Outside of that, I wasn't thrilled with the new audio when I heard it, but it certainly won't stop me from taking my regular time-out to relax and ride around Tomorrowland. Luckily I have the audio from the last edition to keep me company

Re: It's Kinda of a Sad Day For The T.T.A.

I have to agree. I just returned from WDW and rode the TTA. It wasn't all that memorable. I tended to tune out the audio. Also, the Space Mountain section really needs some attention. Now that SM is so dark (I mean it's REALLY dark), there's nothing to see, and there's no audio at all, so it's like being in a black hole for several seconds. I'm hoping Disney is still tweaking this portion of the attraction.

Re: It's Kinda of a Sad Day For The T.T.A.

The TTA has always been a favorite ride of mine. I rode it yesterday and am heartbroken. Silence during Space Mountain and no Mr. Morrow

We rode it at night the second time. It cheered me up a bit, though. The Space Mountain part looks better when it is dark outside.

Re: It's Kinda of a Sad Day For The T.T.A.

Well I rode the TTA yesterday...Disney swung and missed again. The TTA really is less fun with the lame new voiceovers. It's too generic and sterile. Also, SM was down when we were going through so ALL the lights were on in the TTA tunnel. It was very boring. Also dusty and cobwebby. I wish they would have used the funds which built that stupid stitch stage on the TTA instead> Maybe then it would have been a quality rehab.

Re: It's Kinda of a Sad Day For The T.T.A.

We were on the TTA on the 12th as well. It was just OK. I actually couldn't hear the audio that well. We just sat for a rest and looked around when we were outside. I did find the SM part kind of interesting because I had never seen it with the lights on before. Can't see too well when in the buildings though. Can't see into Buzz at all!

i dont see a big deal about it.
The children of today will see this as retro 20 years from now.
We dont, as adults, "own" the "old times".. let our kids enjoy things that are relevant to THEM. My 4 year and 2 year old hasnt ridden the TTA, in 1.5 years or so, he/she WILL. Dont they deserve an attraction that THEY can relate to like we did as kids?
Just sayin.....
Either way, we will continue to ride and enjoy.......the peoplemover.
Well said.

Also, let's look at the new TTA narration as the return of ORAC-1 from the 70s and 80s, since the new narration as pretty much a throwback to that and sort of a return to the attraction's original intent of being a showcase of a innovative transportation system and offering brief descriptions of all the major attractions in the area.
