| Cranium Commando | Hi Everyone, This came out on the Disney Parks Blog today: Walt Disney World?s Classic Space Mountain Attraction to Reopen with a Few Surprises Disney Parks Blog Interesting photos of the new queue to Space Mountain. I'm not sure how I feel about the interactive games, but I really like the way the new load area looks. It also looks like there will be some new projected images and an updated star field on the ceiling.

| Re: First Images of the Space Mountain Refurbed Queue Thanks for the post. The photos look promising but I guess the 70's era astronauts that were once visable in the queue window are now gone...that's sad to me. |

You know there will alwys be kids fighting over them. 83, or however many games that were put into it seem like a lot, but I'm sure kids will still be fighting |

| Annual Passholder | Re: First Images of the Space Mountain Refurbed Queue My bother rode the TTA yesterday and the lights are finally off in Space Mountain once again and both sides of the ride are running. Also, as rumored, the ride seems to be significantly darker. He described it as being pretty near pitch black, that is pretty cool to hear, I'm looking foward to riding it at the end of the month! |

| Re: First Images of the Space Mountain Refurbed Queue It sounds like there wont be any MAJOR track replacements or on board audio..like originally planned. but ya know what, im really ok with that. It now sounds like they left S.M. very much the "same" but will a complete facelift and special effects upgrades. Actually, i really do like D.L. version of space. But WDW version is more, for me, supposed to be "retro". Im glad that it will be for the most part, very similar to how it always was. There are alot of disney folks out there that didnt want a copy of d.l. version. Anyways, im glad the refurb is almost done. Im sure i'll love it. We go back in May 2011. |

| Annual Passholder | Re: First Images of the Space Mountain Refurbed Queue I'm hoping that changes stay true to the old attraction but really enhance it a lot. So far things look great! I'm interested to see how the games in the queue go though. The reason the games in Soarin' work is because there is so much time spent not moving in line, but Space Mountain is a little different. Wonder if it will slow people up or if there will be problems with multiple people wanting to play the games...time will tell! I'm heading to Magic Kingdom as soon as I hear of soft openings! |

But as far as the new que, I don't know if I like the game idea. A, I personally liked the darkness. B, I don't know how people will be able to handle that, like someone said, holding up the line just to play a game, or fighting over it. I guess we'll see. | |
