They won't, according to the Disney Parks Blog.

I'm not a fan of on-ride photos. I don't really see the point of buying a blurry, grainy, expensive photograph of me riding something. IMO it takes away from the experience, but I guess they make a lot of ca$h for Di$ney or they wouldn't attach them to so many attractions.

I agree. We just got back with some friends that had never been and EVERY RIDE that had the pic they bought it. And if the pic wasn't good we all rode again to make sure everybody head was up so they could buy it. This also went on at Universal also.
I don't see what the big deal is.
I like photo pass so I can get home take a pic of the monitor and store in on computer and I can see it when I want for nothing. Granted its not a quality shot but its something if I decided to keep it in the first place. If its a good shot I'd want to print I just buy it anyway.

In the article they make it seem like they assumed it was using photopass and then realized later in the day that its not... because it says something about "we have recently learned that photopass will not be used". So maybe whoever wrote the article just assumed, and assumed wrong.

Yes, it was a misunderstanding. As the author of the Definitive Guide to PhotoPass, when I first saw the blog post, I was excited so I went right to my contact at PhotoPass who immediately responded that it wasn't the case, so they contacted the blog folks and got it cleared up.

Although it's not related to the mistake, the architecture is in place so they CAN switch to PhotoPass in the future if they wish, but for now it'll be handled by Kodak

I think it would be cool if they could take a pic of you riding and then put it on a pin some how. That would be cool!
