Heard rumours but nothing concrete.
As for Virgin, they ALL went under.
Music is soo much cheaper and easier to buy on the web or just use itunes.
I believe thats where the "DIANA–The People’s Princess" exhibit is (was?) for now. Not sure how long it was supposed to be there but think it went in this summer. Haven't heard anything about what it will be used for after that.
And not sure where the anger is coming from, Virgin announced ALL its megastores closing earlier this year, this was after several were already closed in recent years.
Shelbell's right. At least that's what had been there. Whether or not it's still there, it was enough to keep me far away from DTD's Westside.
The store in Manhattan closed up earlier this year, and I unfortunately missed the sale :(
Oh well. It was always a fun place to go. And I could find CDs that I couldn`t find at wal mart or something. I heard a rumor that an Apple store was gonna go there, but I don`t think anyone wants to buy an iMac on there vacation.
I'm not sure Apple needs three floors of retail space?

I live in NYC, so I've been to the one in Manhattan. Well, the one near Central Park South, not at 14th Street. The uptown is only one floor, I think, plus the cool glass staircase.Quote:
