Vinylmation Store Coming to Downtown Disney

I wasn't sure if I should put this in the rumors section, because it hasn't been officially announced by Disney yet. But it looks pretty solid, so I decided it should go in the news.

Looks like this spring will see the opening of a new Vinylmation store in Downtown Disney. The store will open where the Planet Hollywood On Location store recently closed. Disneyland has a Vinylmation store called D-Street, so I wonder how closely this will resemble that one (will the name be the same?).

I'm pretty excited about this. I've really been getting into Vinylmation lately, so I definitely want to visit the store the next time I'm there.

Well seeing as they've totally refurbished the store and put the signs up outside I would say it is definitely coming lol.

I've been looking at these figures too, and although some are really ugly in appearance there are some nice ones too. Am quite upset though as I cant find anywhere that sell them in the UK, am guessing will have to buy one on the american disneystore site and get it shipped *sigh.

I hope it is open when I go in June. I love Vinylmations so much.

It should be. The story said spring 2010, possibly April. That gives you a couple month window for it to be open when you're there! Here's hoping, though!!

And ya see I can't see the draw, I find them ugly. Beauty in the eye of the beholder I guess. They remind me of a babies teething toy, but if they are made in China, I wouldn't let a baby put them in their mouths. :lol:

LOL, very true. I didn't like them at first (and I still think some of them are ugly), but I've grown to like them. I'm starting to buy more of them on eBay so I don't get stuck with one I hate...

I thought they were odd at first, but now it's a tradition to get one every time we go. Then, each one in our collection represents a certain trip.
