Out with the old...
I'm sad and happy all at the same time!
Special Disney Event© | Last Tour To Endor - Star Wars Celebration
Ayhab the Arab
It's amazing to think that this all started with one little mouse.
I wanted them to update this ride, but if it going to be pod racing I would rather it stayed the same. I didn't like it in the movie and I don't think I'm going to like it as a ride.![]()
You know I never made it to Endor. Everytime that silly pilot finally landed, I ended up back on Tatooine at some shop.
That just means you did the ride backwards. You're supposed to enter through Tatooine so you can leave that planet. As it turns out, there is never a wait that way for some reason. Anyway, you ride the ride, and exit past a bunch of people who are apparently going the wrong way for some reason. When you reach the outside, you'll find yourself on Endor. Works every time.
yeh... u know i never really though of it like this... the queue, and shop are completely backwards... u start at Endor (which is where u are going to...) and you end at Tattione... weird...
As for Star Tours 2.0... i also am keeping an open mind about it... and i have heard that pod racing is only one part of the new ride... and if Lucas is how he has always been... we are still in the dark about this...

I started a thread that might make many of us feel better about "the last trip to almost Endor..."
For those of us worried about Star Tours II...

I still think they're missing a golden opportunity by having the ride actually stop at a few of the more popular locales, i.e. one time it's a podrace, another time you're in a snow speeder and another time you're in Cloud City or Mustafar or wherever.
I think the pod race is just a small part of the attraction. More then likely we will have the same type of pilot that keeps getting lost, and goes into the race, and we end up being eaten by a wamp-rat.

Is anyone doing the Last Tour of Endor party on August 14th?
I agree with you!
I was 10 when the first Star Wars movie came out and I was a huge fan of it. Subsequently, as each new movie came out I liked them less and and less. The "teddy bear picnic" (ewoks) in Return of the Jedi was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I hated the Jim Henson influence. I wish Lucas would have made the other Star Wars movies more like the first one. I recently saw a broadcast of the first movie and I didn't recognize a lot of it. Apparently he went back and "fixed" it. No wonder Disney wanted to partner with this guy. He knows how to ruin things just like Disney has been doing to their attractions over the last decade or so. As for the newer SW movies: I've seen nothing more than a scene or two as I flip past them on cable.
