i read on a site that it's a small world will be closed from august 1-sometime in october.

whats that about???

This is really upsetting, I absolutely love IASM and it's going to be closed. I guess I could always hope for something really cool to be done with it in the farther future when I visit.

Rumoured to be adding the Disney characters like in the DL version, seeing as it is a long refurb slot.

[Also maybe the "holiday" version like in DL but i dnt know what that really is or what it looks like so thats a big maybe.]

I wish they could make the outdoor part of its a small world look more like the one in Disneyland. but of course they would have to destroy build and redo a lot in fantasyland but it would be worth it.

If they are going to do the it's a small world overlay like out in Disneyland, it will be down for around four weeks or more. If you want to know what it's like in there, here's a video of mine...

A rumor going around is that they may be adding the Disney characters like in Disneyland but we won't know for sure until the refurbishment starts. (I'm sure the Disney Parks Blog will mention something.)

Disney has denied that they are adding characters like they did at DL...but they haven't said why it's going to be down so long either.

I heard a rumble somewhere that they may be doing the same work to fix the drafting problem DL experienced if the load was too heavy, but for some reason I thought they had said before that the ride at WDW didn't have that problem at all...

They need to refurb it into a hybrid of Indiana Jones/IASW.

Disney changes their mind all the time...so who knows, maybe they changed their mind? We'll see!

They do short refurbs every once and a while. But they did, and that is what surprises a lot of people since they just about refurbished everything in the attraction during that last long refurbishment.

I could do without mixing in Disney Characters, I would love them to update the outside facade to be themed Like DL, it doesn't have to be the same just themed and interactive.

Hope they don't leave the outside of SW as is, with the new upgrade of Fantasyland. Time will tell.

It did just dawn on me...perhaps there was a need for a long refurb coming up in the next couple of years anyways, and they are getting it out of the way now before the rest of Fantasyland is affected by the construction...
