Indeed, but he also only wanted change to come when the subject had become unpopular or no longer necessary; the Viewliner, for example.

I hope not. It's way too soon to start messing with classics to permanently install features for a film that may flop. I figure they're just trying to make the queue more interactive, like they did with Soarin' and Space Mountain. Otherwise, it can be a long boring wait.
Well I am leaving in 20 days so I guess I will see a bunch of ugly boards. Just glad I have some nice shots of the tombstones from previous trips.
Cheers

I think improving the queue experience is a great idea. FastPass is lacking in a lot of ways and if I'm going to stand in line for an hour I'd like to see something more than the same people's faces each time I wind around. But it is a drag when a lot of new construction happens on your particular trip, especially with your favorite attractions.

It makes terrific business sense of course, because the new shop could form the basis of a pin. In fact, TWO pins! A before and after, "remember the magical memories" or whatever.
I don't mean to knock DV tape, what with it still being the industry standard outside film and all (and I swear by it), but how many tourists REALLY are going to have DV-carrying cameras in the parks these days? Is everyone not onto the newer, trendy hard-drive or memory card based cameras? I know Sony for one are trying to actively phase out DV in the consumer market.

Same. I love DV. You'll take my tape from my cold dead hands!
I went over to HM to check out the construction on Saturday. Walls are still up and you can't see anything behind them, but if you hop on the Liberty Bell for a ride you get a great view of the pile of dirt! lol Sadly by the time I got on the bell it was dark and my camera stinks at night.
I kinda wish they would have left them alone, technically the line was already "interactive", you read the tombstones and get a good chuckle at them! The area that they occupied isn't very big and you rarely stand there for more than a few minute so it almost seems pointless to me. Only time will tell how it turns out, who knows it might be really awesome!
All your dreams can come true if you have
the courage to pursue them.

I only wish we still had our Albino Pygmy to join in on this one.To dang funny and yet so true. If they could they would.
On a more serious note - as worthy a cause as it is (looking at new ways to tweak the original attractions every now and again as the years march on), why on Earth does the queue need to be interactive? It used to be that people's excitement for the coming attraction was enough to keep them entertained, even in those long switchbacks like Big Thunder or Mansion, without need for gimmicks.![]()
Perhaps they are putting in tombstones for all the Adventurers Club members...
