Likely the new ones will be great but awe, I love them, especially the one for Mr. Toad.![]()
The Mr Toad tombstone is the other side so would have thought it to be safe.
They're apparently making the queue a bit wider too, a bit more towards the water of the Rivers of America, so that they can fit in a proper wheelchair access queue, as opposed to the pretty rubbish thing they have now
Supposedly the Imagineers' tombstones are being replaced with a new pin trading cart.
I read they're putting a DVC kiosk in that space.

Common misconception; that's coming in Phase 2.
Personally, I'm hoping for a Balzac stand.

Yes, but only if it also sells cheap sunglasses, bracelets and DV tape as well.
On a more serious note - as worthy a cause as it is (looking at new ways to tweak the original attractions every now and again as the years march on), why on Earth does the queue need to be interactive? It used to be that people's excitement for the coming attraction was enough to keep them entertained, even in those long switchbacks like Big Thunder or Mansion, without need for gimmicks.
I blame today's "I must be fiddling with something electronic every moment" generation. Even adults are like this; constantly playing with an iPhone or Blackberry. You're on vacation, for god's sake! Shut the phone off and enjoy where you are. I point at what they did to Space Mountain...I guess kids need games if they are in a spot for more than 5 minutes.

Interactive tombstones, that should be fun.

I am so disappointed in all the changes happening all at once at MK. I have no real problem with change, but I just returned from there and all I saw was walls and facades to cover up construction, and now I see there are more walls going up along the queue at The Haunted Mansion. It isn't worth the cost to go when all you see is construction everywhere. I'm putting my next trip on hold. Maybe instead of messing with the queues, some thought should be given to keeping the attractions current.
Construction walls I can happily deal with, they are after all a fact of the game.
Change - purely for change's sake - is another matter altogether...
