It's always been an awesome exhibit...and now there isn't any "hissing" during the movie (since Michael Eisner isn't in it any more)...
Can't wait to see the new stuff!

I saw the refurb recently and noticed some additions / changes:
First, the flooring is completely changed. It's all carpet (the same carpet) throughout the whole exhibit. Disappointing because the previous flooring played a role in telling Walt's story. (See episode #140, Korkis explains this). Now it's all carpet, the same carpet, throughout. Kind of a yellow squiggly pattern on a burnt orange background. I talked to a cast member about it and she said the Imagineers went with this carpet because "Walt was a doodler" and the pattern looks like doodles . . . but the pattern is not based on any of Walt's actual doodles. Apparently the old wood and linoleum floors were a maintenance nuisance and too much wax was getting splattered on walls and carpet.
The original AA toucan is gone, but Granny Kincaid's cabin is still there. Rolly Crump's model of the Four Winds statue is there now (it was in the Contemporary). There are also some of Mary Blair's mockups of the Small World entrance for the 1964 World's Fair.
Best item added is the Lincoln AA figure used at the 1964 Fair. His face in on, but the rest of him (clothes and skin) are stripped off so you can see his mechanical guts. Impressive engineering, a huge leap for the time.
Strangest addition is a gray suit Fred MacMurray wore in the Disney movie Bon Voyage! Surely there are more interesting things stored away in the vaults.
I wish this exhibit were bigger, and I think the sign outside is cheap looking. Walt deserves better.
Love it, one of my favourite things to do in the park. To anyone else who enjoys it I recommend a visit to the Disney Family Museum in San Francisco - fabulous day out, fascinating collection of exhibits also very moving.
I haven't seen this attraction since back in 2004 so I am looking forward to seeing it again and the updates!!
I remember watching the movie towards to end and crying because it was so moving and wonderful!
