I agree that there is a high possibility of a tie-in with Epic Mickey. In this day and age of cross promotion, Disney is the king. I don't necessarily think this is bad. From what I've heard of the story from Epic Mickey it would make a good movie. And it could go along with the whole idea of an edgier Mickey.
i wonder if this will be an animated film or live action... but then again i dont think they are that far along yet...

Iron Man director Jon Favreau hired to direct the MK movie. :mickeykid
No midnight showing. I'd be taking the kids.
Favreau is a great director. I wish he could have done MK movie and Iron Man 3, but oh well
I'm hoping that this movie sparks some interest in putting some TLC into MK. I know the expansion is going to be a big task and while the effort is in full swing there is an opportunity to plus up a few other spots
That's actually an excellent point. Maybe this will result in some TLC... or it will result in the park being taken over by whatever theming/plot/characters etc. they build into the movie. Knowing Disney's history, if the movie does well, MK could see major changes.
I bought the first kk book a little over a week ago. I had changed my son to a different school, and they have weekly reading logs. We went to the book store, and I tried to talk him into Harry Potter, but he was not interested. I saw the cover, and read the summary on the back. This is something he can actually relate to. He loves Kingdom Hearts, and we have been to the theme parks so often. We are fotunate to live an hour away, so we have annual passes. We spent both kids birthdays at the parks. He got so involved in the book that he fell asleep reading it. I did not realize there were two others published, with a fourth being published in April, and three more planned.
I can imagine Disney taking it's time with production, especially with the current expansion of Fantasyland in progress. My son will definitely want to see the movie..in the meantime...I wonder if there will be open casting calls in the area.
Celebrating my birthday nine days late...still undecided on which park.. Really want to watch Indiana Jones stuntshow at hollywood studios.
I like the "Disney will take its time part" that means its not going to be rushed and they might work on the most important part which the script. And I trust Faverau.
