Ya see, I can really appreciate something new and still mourn the era that is gone. Toontown will always hold a special place in my memories.
The M & M houses are classic. I really hope they land somewhere else.
The back lot tour at DHS is pretty boring right now, they would liven it up a bit.
Long gone were the mini houses at Toon alias Mickey's Birthday Land. Loved them too.

They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.

I have a cute pictures of my daughter in Minnie's house a couple years ago (Minnie is still her favorite character). I really thought the houses would be left and included in the new Fantasyland. Everything else can be replaced in my opinion and by the time my daughter has kids they will have something twice as good. I do think they should reduce park ticket prices while a park is under construction. The construction reduces the number of rides and construction walls are unsightly. I avoid the parks while major construction is being done.

Does anybody know what the plans are for the homes in Toontown?... Are they going to be destroyed or moved to another park etc?...
What would you like to see happen to them?...

People will miss it, that's a guarantee. However, I think that people will miss elements of Toontown Fair more than the area itself. People will miss walking to the back off the park for Mickey's and Minnie's houses, and the Barnstormer for example as opposed to the existence of Toontown Fair itself.

For us Toontown is just a place to catch the train. Even when my kids were small, we didn't really spend much time there. We do like Minnie's house.

maybe they will sink Mickey's house off the coast of Castaway Cay...

Bwahaha! Brilliant! In five or so years they can recycle the old material and start telling puzzled guests that Mickey's house leaked into the Utilidors... and that disabled guests couldn't get through the doors...
Personally I'm ambivelant on this. It will be sad to see it go, particularly Mickey's, but Fantasyland has been stagnant for so many years now, and it looks as if the space will be put to good enough use.

It is a land of 21 years of memories. Me, with a kid that is 23, we had many memories tucked back in that corner. Went through 3 updated versions, each one getting better. The last decade we only went back there for a quick ride on the little roller coaster. Still the memories are there and it will be missed.
I do look forward to a new adventure and hope there is still a special place for the little kids to have a special time like my kids enjoyed.

While I totally understand that people who have built memories there will miss it, honestly, I won't - it never felt like a proper "land" to me. I just didn't understand the point of the area. It was just a playground, and we all have plenty of perfectly good playgrounds in our local towns. The houses (by all reports to be transferred elsewhere in the park) remind me of something Universal might produce in their Dr Seuss areas. It just seems so low-effort - not like Disney at all - and gobbling up a huge chunk of potentially fun land.
I'm still a little wary of what's happening in the Fantasyland. I've always believed that when we're parents, we're going to be the evil types who do what we can to pretend that character meet-and-greet areas (and the Speedway!) don't exist. The idea of queuing for hours in Florida heat to meet princesses, no matter how they dress it up as "Aurora's birthday party" or whatever, just seems like a recipe for tired, wailing children! We'll see them at breakfast, thanks!
Does anyone know if there are plans to re-theme Goofy's barnstormer during the expansion?
Thanks!

A bus driver told me that the plan is to turn it into a Tron coaster.
