Cast member injured at Disney Animal Kingdom's Primeval Whirl

LAKE BUENA VISTA -- A cast member at Disney's Animal Kingdom had to be airlifted from the park Sunday afternoon after suffering head injuries while working on a ride.
The cast member was at the Primeval Whirl, when they were injured.
The worker was flown to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
The ride is located in the Dinoland U.S.A. area of the park.
The ride was not in operation at the time and is currently undergoing some refurbishment work.
The cast member’s condition is not yet known.

I just read nother website that said the man compalined of head injuries. To me it sounded like he was awake when EMS got on scene. Hopefully teh cast member injured will be ok.

Disney's Animal Kingdom worker dies from injuries
Worker identified as Russell Sherry Roscoe of Webster
A Disney worker injured Sunday while repairing the Primeval Whirl roller coaster died early today, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
The worker, identified as 52-year-old Russell Sherry Roscoe of Webster, suffered head injuries Sunday while working on ride at Disney's Animal Kingdom and was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center, according to the sheriff's office. He died there this morning.
No details have been released about the accident, which was not witnessed by guests at the theme park.
A news conference to release details of what happened is expected later today.
The death is the second associated with the ride.
In November 2007, Disney worker Karen Price, 63, was working on an elevated rider-loading platform when she was struck by one of the roller coaster vehicles. She died five days later.
After her death, Disney renovated the Primeval Whirl ride and installed sensors to prevent a similar accident occurring in the same area of the ride.
In 2008, federal investigators faulted Disney for five safety violations and fined the company $21,000 for the accident that caused Price's death.

Orlando Sentinel is saying the 911 recording says he was hit by a vehicle and fell, head injury, near the "little dip" of the ride.
Sad.
Disney beyond condolences has not elaborated.
