Finally figured out most of my travel histoy!
2012- March- 4 nights at Wilderness Lodge then 3 nights at Bay Lake Tower
2011- March- 5 nights at Treehouse Villas then 2 nights at Bay Lake Tower
2010- March- 6 nights at Saratoga Springs then 1 night at Bay Lake Tower.
2010- July- 7 nights at Saratoga Springs.
2009- March- 9 nights at Boardwalk Villas.
2009- October- 2 nigths at Dolphin then Disney Wonder- 3-Night Bahamian Cruise (w/ a friend who I met on the Magic cruise)
2008- March- Disney Magic- 7-Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise (1st cruise ever)
2008- November- 5 nights at Coronado Springs
2007- March- 9 nights at Wilderness
2007- November- 2 nights at Swan
2006-1998 Yearly Trips sometimes two trips a year at various resorts which are the following(resort (# of times not previously stated))-
Saratoga Springs (1), Contemporary( Tower (1), Garden Wing (2 i think)), All-Star Movies(1 night then on the another hotel), All- Star Music (1), Wilderness Lodge (Lodge (1), Villas (?)) Coronado Springs (1), Animal Kingdom Lodge (1)

Not to step on anyone's toes, but I would venture to guess that most of the people who come here for the "games" aren't interested in any sort of "serious" Disney discussion, and it's usually the "serious" fans who get all geeked out about any sort of "return to form" by Disney (apologize for all the quotations, but I felt they were necessary).
To stay on topic, I'm really excited about this. The wife and I went to DL a few years ago, and one of the main reasons was to see the original version of the tiki room (she had never seen it). We're excited that we won't have to travel as far from now on to see the good one.
If we can dream it, we can do it

I, for one, am glad of the change back to the original. It will be nice to have something of Walt's legacy still on display.

Anyone else wonder if this couldn't have something to do with Gilbert Godfried's stupidity when the quakes in Japan happened? He lost his Aflac job and I'm sure Disney was none-to-thrilled to realize he voiced a character in one of their attractions as well (Iago).
Don't get me wrong... I'm personally thrilled. Not just because I loved the original (it was born of Walt's imagination) but because I can't stand the whole tacky theme of the two oversized cartoon birds taking over. Just never did anything for me. They just didn't fit with everything else in the room. Eh, maybe it's just me.
Has nothing to do with Godfried's stupidity...I haven't been on this forum in a long time, so I am not sure if it has been reported, but about 2 months ago the ceiling of the entire Tiki Room went on fire when Zazu spontaneously combusted during a show. I guess they figured between the fact that the new version had been a bit of a flop and the fact that they now have a charred Zazu, they might as well give the people what they want.

The only thing really annoys me about this news is that I'll have missed this, as my last trip was in March. I'm not a huge fan of Tiki Room (as a DL fan, I've seen the original plenty of times), but the original is way better than the "fresh" version, which was extremely obnoxious. Glad to see this is happening, finally.

Anything is better than UNM. It was interesting the 1st time I saw it, then im ny trips to follow, we wouldnt even go in if there was no wait just to sit in the cool lol.

I admit the original scared the everloving poop out of my when I was a kid. Then finally one year I was about to sit and enjoy it without freaking out...and the next time we visited WDW after that it was UNM.
I just want to hear "Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing" again and the original theme song in it's entirety. The fact it got stomped on in the "updated" show seemed almost....sacrilege.
Gotta love a duck in uniform.

I am very happy Tiki Room WDW is returning to original. I am from Los Angeles and have been going to Disneyland since it opened in 1955. I LOVE Tiki Room DL and the decades of wonderful family memories it brings.
LOL, I'll never forget our shock when my son and I first visitied Tiki Room WDW in 2001. I've been to WDW 7 times since 2001 but I never went back to Tiki Room WDW. I always saved that for my DL trips.
I was thrilled to learn Tiki Room WDW will be "original" for our WDW Honeymoon in September! We're definitely going to Tiki Room WDW and Sing Like the Birdies Sing!

Deb's Allears says the new Tiki Room "should debut around August 15". We'll be there through Sept. 15 so we're figuring unless it's more than a couple weeks past schedule, we'll get to see it!

Barring any mishaps, we too will be able to see it on this upcoming trip. It's not one of those "OMG I can't wait!" things but I definitely will not be leaving MK until I've seen it.
