    My thoughts exactly. I'm kind of excited because it sounds like now, rather than being returned to the Tropical Serenade, it's being returned to Walt's original Tiki Room... although every article just keeps saying that it's a tribute to it or something similar so I dunno. Long as Iago and Zazu aren't included, I'm sure it'll be great.

    In Magic Kingdom a week ago I noticed that the sign outside the Tiki Room had been changed - it can't have been there for long because I did Keys to the Kindgom a few days prior and the Under New Management sign was still there. Looks like Iago and Zazu are gone.

    Jenn, it probably did have something to do with his mouth, and Japan. I loved the Original at DL, and when I was small I thought all those birds were real and wondered how they trained them. I have missed the original, the Under New Management was always hard on my ears, mostly Gilberts voice.

    Has anyone seen it yet? I know it only opened today, but I'm curious how close it is to the DL version (which my family loves). What do they mean when they call this a "tribute"? Does that mean it's only here for a limited time (40th anniv)? Or has the show been altered? Or is it only the technical side that has been changed for this version compared to the DL version? I'm hoping it's around for a long, long time and is in the original form. That is a *classic* show!

    check out ricky's inside the magic link, he did a video of the preshow and the whole show. it is very similar to the disneyland version that i saw last year, and mostly similar to the original version i remember at wdw. few songs tweaked here and there and the tiki gods r not as scary as i remember but i loved it!

    i will see for myself on wednesday when we start at the mk!! i will let you know!!

    and from what i understand it is here to stay!!

    Of particular interest are the comments at the bottom of the second link. I am very curious now to see how noticeable the "shorter" songs are. I can completely understand shortening the show a bit to appease today's less patient crowds but I hope it's not disappointing.

    Got to see this last week! OMG...totally awesome!! I loved, loved, loved it seeing this attraction in it's glory!! Wow!! I was like the only one singing along to the songs...I am sure the people in front of me thought I was nuts! It is soo great!!!! I will talk about this is my trip report so stay tuned...
