What is the Walt Disney World Moms Panel?
The Walt Disney World Moms Panel is a forum on the Walt Disney World website where those on the Panel answer questions asked by people via the internet. They are not employees of Disney, just regular people like you and I with their Walt Disney World knowledge from years of vacations to Walt Disney World.

Application Rules:
~ Be 18 years of age or older.
~ Have access to a computer and an Internet connection.
~ Be familiar with Walt Disney World® Resort and have visited at least once in the last 12 months.
~ Be fluent in the English language.
~ Complete at least twenty-five written responses per week.
~ Provide your opinions and feedback.
~ Submit an autobiography and personal photo and/or video to be posted online.
~ Be available to travel to Walt Disney World® Resort from December 9-13, 2011.
~ Be willing to participate for a minimum of 24 months.
~ Not be current employees/Cast Members of The Walt Disney Company or any of its subsidiaries, must not be immediate family members of a current employee/Cast Member of The Walt Disney Company or any of its subsidiaries, and must not currently reside with a current employee/Cast Member of The Walt Disney Company or any of its subsidiaries. In addition, participants must not be employees, contractors, advisors or consultants for, must not hold more than a de minimis ownership interest in, and must not serve on the Board of Directors of, any entity (other than The Walt Disney Company or any of its subsidiaries) which owns or operates any hotel, resort or theme park located in Orange, Osceola, Lake or Seminole Counties, Florida.
~ Not be currently employed in the travel or theme park industries, and not be an immediately family member of, or currently reside with, people currently employed in the travel or theme park industries.

You will notice one of the Application Rules is . . .
"Be available to travel to Walt Disney World® Resort from December 9-13, 2011."

If you cannot travel during that time period ... Do not apply!

Disney does a training for all Panelists. The training takes place at Walt Disney World. This year, the training will be December 9-13, 2011. Your flight and lodging are all covered by Disney. This is where you will meet the other Panelists (new and old), have training, take some pictures and video for the Walt Disney World Moms Panel website. Also, there are lots of special events and park visits to make the trip magical.

Don't be fooled by the name . . . Dads and singles can apply too! :thumbs:

I've made it to the second round the past two years. Third time's the charm?

This will be the first year I cannot apply. I haven't been in the last 12 months. I am going in February though, think that will count?

Do you know if former cast members can apply?

well i have tried and never gotten far.. this is so sad.. i'm going to keep applying :)

I am also a former cast member. I don't know if that helps or hinders. Some years I mention it and some years I don't. I think the only rule is that you cannot be a current cast member. Personally I think they would like it because we would know much more, but on the other hand they might want more of the "average Joe" input.

Thanks for the input. I would think they would like it to if you were a former cast member but I guess I could see why they would want just a guest to be on the panel. I guess I will make my decision when it gets closer.
