And I find it ludacris that anyone would put any money or time into bothering with other people's touring plans. I successfully navigated Berlin all by my lonesome on a business trip back in October. I can certainly find my way around an amusement park.
Really, Walt? Disneyland is MY land? Why would I want a silly little land when I can have the WORLD.

I think Disney is catering to the type-A people who think planning is "fun". I've seen posts that refer to the planning stage as "magical".

yeh yeh... sure its fun... watching your credit card go sky high... but we do it because that where we wanna go... listen i enjoy part of the planning... deciding where i wanna stay.... when to leave and such... but to plan what attraction i will be on at 1pm on august 25th is crazy... i dont think very many people want THAT much structure...

    I know I don't. We don't even do ADRs.

    Hopefully there's medication for that.

Oh I know all about the technology, I'm an ubergeek. I'm waiting to see how long before "hacked Disney refillable mugs" end up on eBay.

Yeah I was already thinking along that track DVCDad. When I saw they were using the RFID stickers I got very curious myself.

That is a good point! I think it would be nice to recognize and reward your loyal guests, too. Would it hurt to hand out a gift card for the shops once in a while?

This XPass technology looks interesting, but I would agree on not wanting to plan individual attraction times 180 days in advance. Planning show times for guaranteed seating would be useful.

Perhaps. But how many shows truly require advanced seating these days?

I seriously doubt there will ever be any sort of "Rewards" program for loyal customers. If it was the loyal customers they were worried about, they never would have gotten rid of perennial classics like 20k and Horizons. At this point, they know that us true-blue Disney fans will keep coming back, no matter what. Their goal is to hook in new customers and turn them into us.

If we can dream it, we can do it
