Pirates of the Caribbean news - Last few days to meet Angelica from latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie
Angelica, daughter of the legendary pirate captain Blackbeard from the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides", will be leaving the Magic Kingdom on August 21 2011. Your last chance to meet her outside Pirates of the Caribbean will be on August 20. Angelica has been appearing at the Magic Kingdom since April 15 2011.
I'm a little sad/ticked/peeved about this... she was on my list of "must meets" for the upcoming trip. I was considering dressing as her for Halloween this year but now... I'm just hurt...

As a side note, the girl who usually played Angelica had usually been Rapunzel before April so I wonder if maybe she's being once again repurposed? LOL

Lol Perhaps...either way, PoTC is such a huge hit for Disney, you'd think they want to keep those characters around.
BTW, my cousin works in MK...did you know that Johnny Depp drops in frequently to play the part of Jack Sparrow himself at that little show they do in front of PoTC? No one actually knows its him except the CMs though for obvious reasons.

She was an unnecessary addition to the film and the script could have been written with just the father, not the daughter. But since Kiera Knightley decided to walk away from the projects, I guess Disney felt they needed another female character.
The movie could have done well without her and I'm sure the parks will, too. Adios.

No. They basically re-relased the first three all under new titles. The fourth one seemed like nothing more than the little show they put on at Disney World taped and released as a film. Trust me, you haven't missed anything
