We go on... :mickeykid
Less stale product cluttering up the shelves, destined for clearance corners and outlet stores.
yeh... on my trip i couldnt believe the sheer repetition from store to store... almost like they ran out of ideas...
Incredible, isn't it Joe? Way back when if there was a certain item you wanted, you sometimes had to hunt it down. Uniqueness has certainly disappeared from the parks' merchandise.
I hope that the uniqueness comes back. I am kind of sick going to every store and seeing the same stuff even at the different hotels.
So agree!
I remember when all the generic stuff was at the "Big" store of many names gone bye at DTD. Everything else was specific for the most part to an individual store.
Cry'n shame what they did to Main Street stores along with DHS stores.
And don't get me going on their latest merchandise scheme called Duffy.
Maybe we'll see a better quality as well. Not to complain, but I had two watches break over the past year. The older wal-mart knock-off is still running strong, but those watches they sold as part of their propmotion (buy xx amount and purchase a watch for $25) a few years ago did not hold up well.
There was a time when Disney Stores once had a section called "The Disney Gallery". Inside, you could find animation cels, Disney Classics pieces, and other high-end collectibles. I found this still-existing signage at a store in New Jersey. Inside the rotunda were sections of cheap Disney Princess dolls. Whatever.
