I like the idea of getting movies over the internet legally. Maybe they will release Song of the South this way. - I know, wishful thinking.

I like the idea of movies on demand from Disney, and like the parnership with Microsoft as well! Of course, I think we'd all be a little surprised if Song of the South was one of their initial releases. :uhoh: (Followed closely by "Education for Death.") :laughing: :dozzy:

Yes, I agree... Song of the South will not be released this way. Its too bad... I have only seen a poor shadowy copy of it. It would be nice to see it the way it was supposed to be seen (on a computer) :laughing:

My daughter has asked me what movie Splash Moutain is based on... hard to explain that she can't see it.

oh well. - - i guess it is a bit non-PC. :-[

I think that the only way we'll see Song of The South released is perhaps as part of the Disney Treasures collection. Some of the older Mickey Mouse cartoons are decidedly un-PC but they are presented un-cut for historical significance and a reflection of the times during which they were produced. Leonard Maltin does a good job of putting it in context.

I think it's a good forum to release potentially controversial material as it's meant for collector's moree than kids/ families.
