The last time I can remember Disney building suspense was the balloon popper when they just announced the Theme for the upcoming year.
It was a dud.
So at first blush, a new Parade? It is time.

New parade maybe yeah... maybe a replacement for Wishes? It's had it's time too...
Or... maybe it's related to the Avatar thing... officially announcing it's location?

Parade, Fireworks or both, it would be time.
Avatar would be another bubble popper announcement. By announcing an announcement three weeks out, Disney should have learned hype needs some substance. That last hyped announcement received a lot of bad press. Lesson learned one would hope.

Heck they are going through great lengths to make sure you only get so many refills on cups you actually pay to refill!

Missing Main Street...
I really hope this announcement is something worthwhile and they're not making something out of nothing. I really would like to see a new parade come to MK. The MS Electrical Parade just doesn't cut it for me, and as much as I love Spectro, I don't think I see it returning. Would be nice if they had something bigger and better in the works.

…Next year, look for Disney Parks and Resorts to launch The Year of More Magic promotion. They're promising a "special surprise on New Year's Eve," and hinting that there will be some sort of celebration of Leap Year. We'll let you know when we get more details.
