My wife and I waited as the count down started on new years and only after Mickey said Happy New year and my cell phone said 2012 we scanned our tickets and were the first 2 people in the Magic Kingdom for 2012.

Yeah we missed some fireworks and stuff but for my wife and I it was so worth knowing we were the first two.To be honest there were only 4 gates open and as my wife and I waited there didnt seem to be to many people entering the park around 11:30 but as the time got down to 11:58 this one guy showed up and started his way in as Wendy and I waited for 12:00 on our cell phone and Mickey to say happy new year he was on his way to the turn style and I was thinking oh man he will be #1 but his ticket failed and my wife and I were #1 and #2 he wasnt even admitted into the park for some reason.

Neat idea. I loved being at the Top of the World Lounge for teh New Years eve fireworks, but whatever floats your boat.
