Re: Robert Sherman has passed away
So sad to hear the news. I've been looking at clips on Youtube with my daughter this morning before school. He gave so much to so many people. I hope his family finds comfort in knowing how much joy he brought so many people through his talent and love of life.

I'm surprised that it has not hit the news; even here in Orlando.

Re: Robert Sherman has passed away
That is so weird. Just THIS very morning, I thought that I should try writing to him one more time because I never heard back some time ago. Oops. Cross that Legends Certificate off the list. RIP, sir.

Really, Walt? Disneyland is MY land? Why would I want a silly little land when I can have the WORLD.

Re: Robert Sherman has passed away
I think about Robert and Richard all of the time. After watching "The Boys", their relationship was heart-wrenching, and weighs on me quite a bit. What an amazing catalog he leaves behind for all of us. I will be sharing this music for the rest of my life. Such timeless pieces, Robert will live on forever in the hearts and minds of millions.

It is sad to see Robert Sherman pass... He was a huge part of the history of Disney and one of the few connections back to Walt...

I agree, I think part of the reason it is so hard to see him go is because it is easier to feel "closer" to Walt through those who knew him personally. It will be a very strange day when none of those connections exist any longer.
I don't mean to take away any of Robert Sherman's glory and hand it over to Walt. He left behind a wonderful legacy that will continue to live on for years to come. He certainly, with the help of his brother, contributed in shaping many of our childhoods. I think many have grown to feel as though they really know the Sherman brothers personally, as many of us feel that we "know" Walt, even though we've never met him. It's such a shame to see him go.
He deserves a great big thank you from all of us, not just because of his musical talents, but also for the time that he served in the US military.
