I did not mean Lucas directly, I meant LucasFilm. There is Star Tours, Indy show, Star Wars Weekends, and tons of merchandise.
Bwana Blog!
I wrote this on how it might effect DAK and Avatarland
Star Wars... Disney's answer to Harry Potter.
All Jim Henson had was one attraction, and Disney saw fit to buy that franchise.
JNota0005DakMC This is off topic but you live in long island and my great uncle lives there, we havent been able to get in touch with him because he doesnt own a cell phone but how is it over there
Things are ok... It depends on where you are... I am about a mile from the beach and we were worried about water rushing... We are good, just a few trees down... Cell service is terrible right now... I feel disconnected to the world, and I can only wonder how it is for people in disaster areas... It is devastating out there though in some parts... I am counting my blessings...
Good point. I had heard Walt negotiated a deal with Coke to serve their drinks exclusivly in the parks in exchange for free cola syrups. Maybe it's cheaper for the company to still follow that plan and purchase bottled products from Coke to sell at the inflated priced they do at the drink carts.
I'm assuming Star Wars will be a huge part of DHS since it already has a foothold there. Does anyone think Disney will fast track Star Wars additions to any of the parks regarding Star Wars or do you think they may want to construction dust to settle after the new Fantasyland expansion?
Same way I don't want to see Avatar in Animal Kingdom (it makes Disney appear desperate to figure out what to do with their little half-day zoo park that people aren't visiting), I would hate to see them build Star Wars into that park, either. Non-Disney created properties belong over at DHS.
Why didn't they buy GM when they were in trouble and could have gone cheap?
