Thumbs up It's A Small World

I have just come back from WDW and found that "It's A Small World" has opened again. I thought it was cool and enjoyed it, if anyone else has ridden it what did you think of it?

I liked the updates after the refurb, including the new music (same song, just remastered from the original)... the look is much more like the Disneyland version, but I DO miss the "Help!" clown

They've taken him out? Why? I loved him!

Wow, I can't remember the clown...anyone got a picture to remind me?

I did enjoy the new version, it just adds that "sparkle" back to the ride!

I've got a photo somewhere, but as I've said before in other threads, I'm having trouble uploading anything, and I wouldn't want to go and use someone's. Esentially, there was a clown in a blue and white (I think) hot air balloon in one of the show scenes, holding a little sign with 'HELP' written on it. I've heard that the reason it was taken out was because it had been put there years back by CMs, and not the park. Dunno how true that is, though.

    Here he is....

I was sad to see it go also. We rode ISAW twice this past trip and I desperately looked for him to no avail. Maybe if we are lucky he will mysteriously "reappear".

    Hmmmm... Has anyone checked EBay?

I just wish it had the really fabulous facade that DL has. Seeing that huge white and gold castle looking structure from way off made the anticipation really awesome, but the ride is so pleasant (except spending the day with that music in your head) it is really a nice moment in a hectic place.

One thing I noticed too and was disappointed in was the high wire unicycle thing...it used to move across the wire but now the wire moves and the unicycle stays stationary....at least it was doing that when I was there in May...

Ah the magic of Disney... after years and years of pleading for HELP, the little clown was finally saved. For those who may mourn his absence, let your mind rest that someone did help the little clown, he is now tied into a straight jacket, in a padded room, humming "it's a small world" constantly.

We both enjoyed the WDW's IASW refurb. It looked really nice and cleaned up. However, DL's IASW is still superior IMNSHO.

I love the refurbishment of IASW. The last scene is absolutely stunning! And I love what they did to the beginning of the ride. The clock is so cute. I'm really glad they updated it. But yes, I do miss the clown that said "Help".

The only reason I ride IASW is for my mother's sake.. This last trip in June I called her at 1030 pm as I boared the ride and placed her on speaker phone so she could hear her "favortie" song.. lalalalalalalalalalalalalala is all I ever hear!!!
