Ride a SEGWAY in Epcot!!!
What is a Segway?
They are the two-wheeled, one-person electric transportation devices that you may have seen Disney cast members riding around on. The are most commonly seen at Epcot where they were first put on display at an Innovations exhibit in March 2002. They are often seen in the parking lot and throughout the World Showcase.
How cool would it be to ride one of these transporters around the World Showcase? Well, starting on February 14th you can give it a try. A new guest experience called "Around the World at Epcot" will allow guests to operate a Segway HT after a brief training period to learn basic maneuvers and obstacle avoidance techniques. Guests can then ride a Segway through several World Showcase countries before the area opens to guests in the morning.
The two-hour experience will be available to ten people a day at a cost of $80 per person. Park admission is also required. For more details or to sign up, call (407) WDW-TOUR (939-8687).
