Epcot's 25th Anniversary

Has anyone heard anything about if they are going to celebrate 25 years at Epcot come October 2007? Doesn't the MK also start 35 years in 2007 ? Will they combine them and what do you think the crowds will be like for either one?

yeah I can obviously not do math...lol So does that mean they will be doing a celebration for that ending it next Sept so the Epcot one can start right after?

I've heard the same rumors as everyone else: New video for Soarin', possible new pavillion in the Wonders of Life, etc., but nothing official.

One thing that looks like it should be finished for the 25th Anniversary is the revamped Living Seas. We'll just have to see what that turns out like.

I'd like to see a new video for Soarin', although I do love the current one too. Maybe one video for each concourse? Or would that be asking too much from what is already the park's busiest attraction lately?

As for the Living Seas thing, a couple weeks ago I asked a friend of mine who works there about it, but she wasn't able to give me anything helpful. When I asked her if she knew what they were doing with it, she said that she wasn't even allowed to say that anything was happening with it at all, which I thought was kind of funny because it's hard to miss that big blue wall out front.

As for MKs 35th... just please no more cake. That's all I have to say about that.

I can not wait to see what they will dream up for 25 years of epcot and 35 years of WDW(Magic Kingdom) but as we all know it will be great

The rumor I've been hearing for Epcot's 25th is that they will make another IllumiNations show. I have mixed feelings, since I absolutely love Reflections of Earth!

I'd love to see the return of the Tapesty of Nations parade. I thought that was such a great idea, and I always wondered why it only stuck around for a few years.

I like the wand, personally. I LOVED Tapestry of Nations (Dreams). I would love to see it come back.

rumor has it that they are introducing new fireworks shows for it.
When I was just down there they were testing new fireworks displays at EPCOT

It just looks so gaudy and takes away from what Epcot was/is. I guess I can see how redecorating Cinderella's Castle with gold spires and and the like works. I can understand how the Sorcerer hat in MGM works (read: animation and the Sorcerery in the Sky show.) How does the wand at Epcot fit? The magic of Disney is shown purely by Spaceship Earth due to it being the first large scale geodesic sphere that was ever built and lifted off the ground.
