So is Wishes going by the wayside with this whole YOAMD promotion? Sure it's been about 4 years, but I'd still be sad to see it go. It's the only show I tear up to everytime I watch it. I have faith in this new show--if that's what it is! It should only get better after Wishes!
I sure hope this isn't true!!! :cry: Anyone have any information on this? I sure hope the Wishes show continues for a few more years!
I hope that Wishes does not leave, I love that Fireworks show very much. My husband, kids and I saw it quite a few times and only video taped part of it with our digital camera (only takes minute movies). I now own a digital camcorder and will be going in November and want to tape the whole show.
Please don't let it go!!!
They certainly don't NEED a new fireworks show, since Wishes ties in very well with the "Dreams" Theme. I would be sad to see it go as well, and also think it would be a waste of money for disney to make a new fireworks show when wishes fits fine.
I agree that they don't absolutely need a new fireworks show, but it can only get better. When we had Fantasy in the Sky, we thought that was amazing and didn't know how they could make it better and then they gave us Wishes.
NOOOO, They can't get rid of Wishes! It's my absolute favorite, watch it almost every night i'm there! I would be Crushed!
I think it would be cool if they made WISHES longer. The one in Disneyland has most of the WISHES music, but then it also goes into a lot of the music from the attractions too. I think it would be cool if they could do the same thing in Disney World. I just watched the Disneyland one and it was almost 20 minutes long!!!!
as long as it isn't replaced with something like "Disney in the Stars" (Hong Kong Disneyland's fireworks show) it's only 10 minutes long, and subpar at best :(
Wishes is good, but I still think Illuminations has it beat by how moving it is. Maybe they would work towards the greatness of Wishes and Illuminations?
If you watch the most recent Disney commericials, they have all ended with Wishes - please do not let Wishes leave!!
I say we start a petition-- let's make one big Wish to keep WISHES!

But, I will be fine with it if they replace it with something like the fireworks show in Disneyland. With bits and pieces of the popular attractions.
I hope they don't get rid of Wishes. I downloaded Wishes from the Polynesian beach and watch it often. I just got the Wishes CD. Who doesn't get teary eyed watching it from Main St. How could they possibly top Wishes?
Yeah, I ALWAYS watch Wishes my last night of the trip. I turn into a big cry baby because not only do I love the fireworks, but i'm sad that I have to leave. For me it's just a great way to end the trip and I hope they keep it around for longer!
That's also the last thing we do our last night in the World. What a way to top off a great Disney vacation. It's a very dramatic way to leave. But ALWAYS makes us not want to go.
