Disney Closed Again: Hurricane Jeanne

Well yet again Disney is closed. All parks closed earlier than scheduled today and are not expected to open on Sunday.

Lou's flight was leaving this afternoon. Don't know if he made it home. I know it would break his heart to be stuck at Disney for another day or two.

But I guess I'd rather be stuck there........if I had to ride one out...

Unfortunately, I'm going to be offline for a few days. My father-in-law passed away suddenly and we leave in the morning for North Carolina (right into Jeanne's path, of course). I'd much rather be riding out the storm at Disney World!

Sorry to hear the news DD.

Well a small update from my house. Well after two lucky storms, something has already happened to the roof this time. The eye is still an hour or so away. About 4am we started taking in water. Power has been random. Hopeeveryone else down here is doing ok.

First, let me thank you all for all of your kind wishes, emails, posts, PMs, etc. I am happy to say that we made it home safely Saturday night. We were the last flight out of Orlando, and actually left about 40 minutes early to beat the storm. Had we been stuck there, my feeling is that a bad day in WDW is better than a good day at work, so no worries there!

All my best to Jason and the rest of you in Florida who had to deal with the storm. I hope it's the last of the season for you all!!

We got a lot of heavy rain Monday night in Asheville, but thankfully not so much that flooding was a problem. They had the area under a high winds warning, but we did not experience much of anything where we were. By the time of the funeral Tuesday morning, we were just getting light rain.

I'm just catching up on all the threads now, but my thoughts were with you all.
