Man falls off Tram at WDW

I think an accident like this occurs when people are reacting to something falling; like trying to catch something if it rolls off a table. Obviously they forgot THEY were moving as well. I have to feel sorry for the guy and his family. An airlift to a hospital was probably NOT how he was planning on starting his day at WDW. Probably messed up the rest of his vacation too.

Hmm, one quick question..SO are they gonna get rid of Trams now bc somebody fell off of it??

This off topic... I knew Skyway closed down but I never knew why, did somebody fall off while it was coming in the station or something?

Not to my knowledge. It may have happened but that's not why it closed down. I believe it closed either because of the sponsorship or because it wasn't handycap accessable.

Oh and the Trams are the vehicles that take you from the parking lots to the Transportation and Ticket Centers.

"...why did it close? Well, despite rumors that it had closed for safety reasons after a guest fell from a ride car, the Skyway closed for more practical reasons. First, it was a very slow-loading and unprofitable attraction. Second, it was also extremely difficult to accommodate guests with disabilities, unless wheelchair-bound guests left their chair on the loading area and took a round-trip ride. However, reports that there was a death on the Skyway were in fact true, although it was not a guest who lost their life. In February of 1999, a part-time Cast Member, while not wearing any protective equipment or safety harness, was working in the loading area when he accidentally fell to his death"

Wow... I'm sorry, but you should know better than to jump off a moving vehicle after something. Would you jump out a car window because you lost your hat? I think not. Enough said.

All I know is if that man jumped off for a Polaroid disposable camera than that just screams brilliance.

Got to love people who don't listen to the Tram speal or read the safety signs that are in ever row and very hard to miss

Being a firefighter/paramedic for 15 years, I've seen people do some REALLY STUPID things. The general public just doesn't shock me anymore. Common sense IS NOT common these days.

Ok, WHO needs to read?? I mean seriously, people today do the most stupid things hourly. They must plan on how many stupid things that they are gonna do today.
