Man falls off Tram at WDW

Officials said the tram was approaching the ticketing area of the Magic Kingdom when the 49-year-old man fell, WESH 2 News reported.

A stroller fell off the tram, and the man was attempting to retrieve the stroller when he jumped off the tram and fell. He hit his head on the pavement.

The Reedy Creek Fire Department got a call about the incident at about 9:30 a.m.

Rescuers said they found the man on the ground. They treated him before he was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

They said that step was taken as a precaution.

The man was conscious and alert when rescue personnel treated him.

At last check, the man was in stable condition, Disney officials said.

A park spokesman said the incident did not affect park operations at the Magic Kingdom.

I was there yesterday and saw the commotion.
Thought somebody was killed with all the rescue stuff there.

Wow. What a complete loon. How many times does the operator say, "If you drop something, be sure to tell the driver at the NEXT top, so they can retrieve it for you." What an idiot. (Unless of course, the stroller had his baby IN IT!)

I feel for the guy, and maybe Amanda's right. I mean, they stress enough about the "if something falls, tell the driver at the NEXT stop", but They only have that phrase in English and Spanish. Now, if he does speak English......ugh.....IDIOT.

I don't think you can acredit his action just because he can't speak English...I mean, I think it's pretty universal not to jump off of a moving vehicle...or maybe it's just me.
