Small world refurb rumors....

Just an FYI for those of you that aren't 'in the know'

“it's a small world” is rumored to be going down for rehab from June 7 of this year through March 18, 2005 for upgrades to the lighting, audio, and electrical systems, rehabs to sets and audio-animatronic figures, asbestos abatement, roof repair, regular water maintenance (draining and refilling), and the possible addition of a new scene.

This is from Mouseplanet -- I do find the last statement interesting... the addition of a new scene???? I wouldn't hold my breath for that. Does anyone know anything more?

Adam - I read that they were changing the ride slogan over the entryway - from "The Happiest Cruise that Ever Sailed" to "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here!". The new scene would be added to the beginning of the ride, which would be the last scene from the old Mr. Toad's Wild Ride!

MMmmm... asbestos AND that song playing over and over again... why would they ever want to rehab THAT?

Adding a scene? Any thoughts on what they would add?

Maybe they will install the enhancement that I have been suggesting for years. When you get in the boat the CM hands you 3 baseballs, the dolls all have point values and the guest in each boat with the most points at the end of the ride wins. Think Buzz Lightyear with a more satisfying finish!!
