Star Tours

Does anybody think Star Tours will get a refurb anytime soon? Say a variation of the ride for each movie.
I- a pod race II- flight over clone war
III- the opening battle
IV- the original video
V- battle on Hoth

VI- on the ? riding through the woods

Last year or two George Lucas made a comment at Star Wars weekends that him & Disney or in the works for another film for the attraction. The only thing I know is that it won't happen after Indiana Jones 4.

I know but maybe this June he'll make another comment again about the attraction.

A possible update was killed years ago essentially because of Disney not being willing to pay for the upgrades Lucas was requesting to things like the sound system.

If they can ever get past that, then maybe.

I personally would like to see maybe 2 or 3 different films going at the same time. Each simulator would be going to a different destination, and guests could choose which they want to go on. Same could be done with Soarin' btw.

Raidermatt, this must have been when Eisner was around but what I heard is that they are ready to go ahead & start working(after Indiana Jones 4). And since Bob Iger is the new face of Disney he'll go fourth with anything. Also, I hear that Mr. Iger wants more Star Wars, Indiana Jones, & Roger Rabbit in the theme parks.

woohooooo I would love to have different themes when you ride Star Tours.....that would be awesome, to go to endor, Tatooine, Naboo and all those places!

There's been rumors of a new video for years now. George has made a few comments about a new video which seem to get people excited but nothing ever comes of it. It's about time for a new video. The current one doesn't really make sense to me. Why are we flying into the Death Star?

that was the only ride i rode while there that made me a lil quezzy to my stomach.. and i couldnt believe it!

If this decision is truly not going to take place until "after Indiana Jones IV," please don't anybody hold their breath. They've been idly talking about that one for more than fifteen years now, and I don't think it's any closer to fruition now (trust me, I've been keepin' track).

I really hope this happens. This attraction is so outdated, it has needed an update for such a long time.

it does need some freshining up...with that said, i'm not a big fan of the new star wars movies...a lot of it went over my head so if they added too much from the new movies it would be lost on me...i don't know if anyone agrees though....
