Wow that is cool didn't know there was more than one. Wonder if any other world showcase restaraunts are chains???

I was tempted to contact them. There is a "contact us" thing on their website for the restaurant chain.

I can confim it will be permanantly closing August 31,2007. Final negotiation are being made for the new restaurant with the new partner. And the date set was to allow all advanced reservations to be honored. No reservation have been made after this set closing date.

Aww that's a bummer. I will be there on April 12th and I'll make sure I enjoy every bite. I'm glad I made a reservation for this trip as I almost put it off til my next in late September. I would have missed it. :(

I know someone who's going to really take this hard as it is his absolute FAVORITE restaurant in all of WS.

L'Originale Alfredo di Roma to Close August 31, 2007!

Disney's contract with L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante ends August 31, 2007. Disney is currently working on plans to develop a new Italian restaurant for World Showcase's Italy pavilion. No further details are yet available.

That's what AllEarsNet is reporting. So sad!!!!

This is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in Epcot. I'm very sad to hear this news, I just hope they are not closing down the one in NY, I like going there too but it doesn't have the same atmosphere.:minnie:

This is so sad! Everything in the world showcase is changing, they take away my El Rio Del Tiempo - and no my Fettuccini Alfredo is gone!
