We do work at the parks and we have already been contacted about some work to be done for the changes for the new restaurant

And just realized I forgot to add. It will be a completely new remodeled inside. And it is from what we understand going to be a Italian Fish and Grill Restaurant.

Oh darn, I was hoping for a Maggiano's.

It would make sense right -- the restaurant is called Maggiano's Little Italy and well the pavillion in Epcot is like a little slice of Italy?

I'm depressed. I remember multiple occasions where I'd go to Epcot just to hit Alfredo's for dinner. *sigh*

I hope it isnt a maggianos. I would HATE to see a chain like that in world showcase. Even though Alfredo's was a chain (technically) it was a small chain. More like branches from a central office, not a franchize kind of feel. Personally I think the seafood restaurant is a misstep. Although the cuisine will be authentic to many parts of italy, I think there are enough places to get seafood in WDW and I dont think when people think of Italian Dining in WSC they will be expecting this.

I made reservations for Alfredo's for Saturday night!

I'm definitely looking forward to this. They had a LOT of dining options available for Friday and Saturday so call and make reservations if your in the area!

Hopefully I'll go a few times before it closes.

I'm unsure if you'll be able to answer my questions but the only non-Disney contact I could find that wasn't for reservations was your address. I am writing to find out if you have any info on the Epcot Alfredo's closing. This rumor has been passed around amongst many disney fan circles and I'm trying to get some official word to share.

lease renewal negotiation taking place in Orlando .
Nothing more then that.....

I'd say though that this implies it's a lease renewal negotiation and not an official "we aren't renewing your lease" thing.

I haven't been to Alfredo's since the park opened. I wish I wouldn't have waited till my kids were older to take them. Now they will never get to enjoy it.
