The P & P party was again held on 11 August. I understand it was a warm night, but fairly well attended. Anyone go?

Well we made it to the event on Aug 31st. The fireworks were awesome, as usual!! I wish they had the fireworks choreographed more to the pirates music, the princess music definitely won out. Our highlight was getting our pictures with Captain Jack Sparrow. There were more adults in line than children. The attendence seemed low but that actually worked in our favor. I even received a pirate diploma from the dream team! The last pirate tutorial was cancelled for the night. I made the comment that I was disappointed that I was going to miss my chance to get a diploma since during the day, the children always participate. (They get to have all the fun!) I was thrilled!!
The following day at MK, there was a camera crew filming the tutorial with little kids dressed up as Pirates and Princesses. They were also filming the fireworks that night. Makes me wonder if they were doing a commercial for next year???

Rumors are flying that the MK will again be holding the Pirate and Princess Party due to the MK calender showing the park closing at 7pm on select dates in Jan, Feb, and March. Also, I just saw on the Magical Weeks of Disney calender in the winter section the statement that the event would be taking place. Has this been confirmed?

well i would so attend a party!!! but i think closing it so often for the $$ ticket parties is upset for some people

I wondered what was going on with MK closing so early in February! We have never been during that time of the year so I thought it might be normal.

Disney Special Event Page has officially announced the return of the PPP for select nights to be announced! One of the days the park is closing early in Feb. is the 14th. What a unique way to spend Valentine's Day!
