I had heard that a country had to sponsor the pavilions. This may be wrong, but a CM told us that Australia had been offered something but they weren't willing to sponsor it. Canada's movie needs to be redone, but nobody is offering to sponsor a new one for them either.

I dream of Australia being part of Epcot's pavillions. I would be first in line to work there. Nemo could swim in the Great Barrier Reef or swim under Sydney Harbour bridge but I would be worried if he was "living" in the Ayers Rock section! Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi.

I think Australia would fit fine in AK but I don't know where they'd put it. Not really enough room for an entirely new land, unless they take out that DinoRama thing.

I'm hoping for Brazil to be the country to represent South America. And mabey, possibly Antarctica.

I mostly see Pirates at the Magic Kingdom but the merchandise is everywhere around the resort like Stitch.

At least thats Disney. Ive seen the Harry Potter books on sale and that has nothing to do with Disney (especially if Harry Potter is coming to IOA.)

I THINK AUSTRAILIA BEING A CONTINENT LIKE AFRICA WOULD SERVE BETTER AS AN AK LAND AS OPPOSED TO A WS PAVILLION BUT AS FAR AS A NEW PAVILLION WHAT ABOUT EGYPT THAT WOULD BE INCREDIBLE, IMAGINE WALKING THROUGH WS AND SEEING A SMALLER VERSION OF THE SPHINX AND PYRAMIDS OF GIZA PLUS THAT WOULD GIVE AFRICA ONE MORE REPRESENTING COUNTRY OR MAYBE INDIA WOULD MAKE A NICE PAVILLION. OH WELL I WILL CONTACT SOME OF MY CAST MEMBER FRIENDS AND SEE WHAT THEY KNOW THIS IS DEFINATELY INTERESTING.

all countries are sponsored by the country that they represent. THat is why ONLY people from that country BY LAW can work in that pavilion. Also those employees are not paid by Disney, they are paid by the country and do not get the same benefits a lot of the time as a normal disney cast member.

I was going to say the exact same thing. I would love Australia to be represented in AK, where you could see all the animals in their "natural" habitats. (How hard could it be to make the Outback anyway?) I think that Egypt would be a perfect fit for World Showcase! They could use the whole forced perspective thing AGAIN...to create a pyramid and the spinx in the background. Hey, Imagineers, wait a few years and I'd love to design some of the shops and buildings.

Most of the countries were designed by the countries themselves because they paid for it. The king of Morocco at the time sent his OWN craftsman over to design and build the pavilion. So all the pavilions were designed by the countries themselves with people from their own countries helping with construction!
