Yea I saw that it was closed also. It was open for breakfast the rest of the week though so I don't know it they are just opened mornings now or what.
Was at the Magic Kingdom this past Sunday, May 27. The Main Street Bakery was closed...I was very disappointed. Asking around, I got differing answers from CMs, who obviously didn't know the real story. One guy told me that it was being refurbished ("refurnished" in his words, but come to find out, the name tag he was wearing wasn't his either). Other CMs told me that they were understaffed because all the CP went home for the Summer.
Does anyone know the real story here? How long will the Bakery be closed? I was shocked that it was closed since the park was packed on Sunday night and well into the EMH.

I will be back into the parks after this weekend and I know some managers that work on mainstreet and around that area, I'll try to get a straight answer if no one has found it yet.

Thats odd, it was open when I ate there on May 22.

WHAT?! NEVER!! Hmm I think it's being refurbed because it's being expanded. When I was there, there were monstrous construction walls around the bakery. You could still eat there, however, there was major construction going on in the glass shoppe next door. I think they're expanding it to add more seating area.
On May 28, they were open, but only until 3:30 p.m. the CM outside told me it's due to seasonal demands....whatever that was supposed to mean.
All the people will look up and shout: "Save us!" and I'll whisper...'no'.
Who watches the watchmen?
You were in the Magic Kingdom on the 28th!? So was I!

i was in the MK on the 27th as well and noticed it was closed when i passed by. i just assumed it closed early because it was already 8:00 pm. but im going back in just 4 weeks and hope it is open then
Seasonal demand? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.I wonder if they realized that the 28th was a major holiday?? The parks were packed and that wasn't enough to keep the bakery open? I only wanted a few Toll-House cookies!!

Sometimes I wonder who is making the decisions at the parks, because too many times those decisions don't make any sense.
