I agree. I don't have a problem with a second Pirate themed ride placed in Adventure land but I do agree that the names of the lands should be left alone. I also believe there are certain rides that Walt had a hand in that should never be fooled with. But hey Disney is about making money and if they feel Pirates is the way to do it then go for it!

I don't know about all of you all but I seriously want the Flying Carpets to make its way out.
Magic Kingdom already has Dumbo.

People will never stop going to Disney but you have to keep those people who aren't addicts like us from coming back.
true, but that STILL doesn't mean you change Adventureland to Pirateland!!!!!

i agree, but they can't amke the Indiana Jones ride because I'm pretty sure they are taking out the show and replacing it with the ride at California.
or so i've been told.

i think adding more attractions to go with the theme adventure would sit better with alot of people rather than changing the entire land.... i dont think this will happen only because it is walt's original idea and classic it would just seem morally wrong to change!

While the public is currently caught up in Pirate mania, no doubt that fervor will cool ina couple of years. I'd expect that while Disney will re-theme a few things to capitalize on it, I doubt there will be an overhaul of an entire land. Adventureland is a classic witht eh Jungle Cruise, Tiki Lodge etc. I can see perhaps a revamp of Swiss Family tree House (which few folk sother than first timers ever wander on), but you can't Pirate up a whole Land and expect it to remain "current" in a few years.

Pirateland
They should keep adventurland the way it is. What would happen to the Jungle cruise or the Tiki room.
Disney has been doing alot with pirates. I mean, how much pirates does disney want

I really do think that rides that Walt Disney himself had originally planned should remain as they are. Sure some upgrades when they are needed but i think the spirit should always stay the same...
This was walt's dream and I think his dreams should be allowed to remain alive. If walt had a hand in planning it, I say let it be. And, that includes the names of the lands.

I Love Pirates but a hole land of pirates taking over adventureland no way. What about the old Discovery Island in Bay Lake. Its just sitting there! Make that Pirate Island and have the black pearl there like that have the dutch man in Castaway Cay. But be able to exploe The BP. And have a ride and restrount there and shops. Discovery Island was closed way before I ever started to go to disney and probably before I was born. So I really don't know the lay out of the island and the space they may have. I just found out what that island was a few weeks ago

Yeah, but the line to Dumbo is far too long and i'd rather ride the carpets anyway

There are only two rides I have only ridden once in all of Disney World. One of them is Dumbo, the other is the carousel. The only three rides I have never ridden at all are the Tricerotops Spin, Primeval Whirl and the Magic Carpets.
I dont know if that makes me a bad disney fan but I simply cannot justify the lack luster imagineering put behind Dino Land and the magic carpets. And the Carousel and dumbo never seem worth the wait.
