    The latest rumors were that the Mermaid ride would go at the back of Fantasyland (where 20,000 leagues used to be).

    I sure hope it does! That would be a great addition to the park.

    Wow this is an old thread brought back to life!

    I think the consesus was that the LM themed attraction at CA was the answer to this one. The rumor that they'd build it back in the old 20k spot still abounds however (obviously since it was repeated again above).
    Sometimes all you need is a reminder that out there lies a better place... a better world... a Walt Disney World.

    I think this is going to be another one of those "wait and see" rumors, based on the ride in CA. It could play out just like Soarin' if it's popular enough (and similarly, RnR, ToT, LMA, etc), starting out in CA and creating a replica in WDW.


    Now reach under your seat and pull out those 3D glasses...

    Just kidding, this isn't a 3D presentation.

    I saw the ride concept on the Mermaid DVD but I thought it was just something fun for the DVD.

    Wow, Mermaid is one of my fav Disney animated films (and I think why I love CBR so much). It would be great to have it materialize at WDW. It's fun just to think about it.
