Parade Rumors

This is from WDW News Today:

- The Magic Kingdom may be recieving Disneyland's Parade of Dreams by 2009. This would be the second parade taken from Disneyland, along with the Block Party Bash that debuts at WDW this coming spring.

- The rumor of Spectromagic going away has once again returned. The rumored timeframe is for 2009. I personally find this strange, as there are plans to update the parade within the next few months. The parade has already had major electrical and some minor asthetic changes in the last 4 months.

There always seem to be many happens around the Spectromagic, i know WDW likes ot keep things "fresh" but this is such a great parade, why is the sword of damocles always hanging over it?

Spectro just had some kind of asthetic update on the costume masks didnt they? I'm looking forward to seeing it in...T-MINUS 9 DAYS BABY!!!!!!!!

Bring back the Main Street Electrical Parade!!! That is the ONLY way I wouldn't be upset about SpectroMagic going away.

i love the music for the Main Street Electrical Parade.. i have it on dvd and listen to it all the time... even though i have never seen either of the light parades.. i plan on not missing spectro this year

Anybody hear anything about "Mickey's Jammin' Jungle"?
I was getting our schedule down for February and there are no parades times listed at all for Animal Kingdom. It appears to me like there isn't going to be a parade after they finish the Jingle one?
It would be sad... I love the music for that one.

Why can't they just play the baroque hoedown with the new spectro changes? Although, I would rather see those creepy white face guys gone all together, probably replaced by a more appealing set of characters. Say, how about having the rejected dwarves that didn't make the final 7 cut? You know, wishy-washy, sleazy, cranky, timid, jolly, frank, and bob.

This is from WDW News Today about a NEW parade coming to AK:

- In an update on the Animal Kingdom parade rumor we reported earlier today, here is an exact quote from a very reliable source:

"its supposed to be a water parade utilzing the water effects installed on Hong Kong DisneyLand's WaterWorks parade units"

The waterworks parade from Hong Kong was very popular and there is perhaps a new version of this parade coming to Animal Kingdom. We will keep you updated on this as best we can. At this time it is just a rumor.

That's what's really happening, we're going to be the head of the new light parade. We were told that the parade was packing in too many people along a parade route that's deemed 'unsafe' by the fire marshal and so they knew that if people see crazyed weirdos in khaki, they'll clear the area lickity-split and all want to rush to the It's a small world queue for shelter, perhaps even, dare I say, ride?

Well considering I haven't seen any of the parades yet, I wouldn't be missing anything. But I do have fond memories of the Main Street Electrical Parade and I would LOVE to see it come back. But Taryn is right, anything Disney does will probably be fantastic.
