I work for a radio station and we just recieved the new press packets for the year of a million dreams continuation into 08...If anyone is interested it includes

1. VIP treatment for the a day on Castaway Cay
2.Disneyland Dream Suite (refurb of Walt's Apartment in New Orleans Square).
3. "its a small world" Where you get to lead the parade in Paris, Florida, California, and Hong Kong
4. Trip to High School Musical 3 premier with VIP getaway to World/Land

Wow that all sounds amazing to me...I wonder if anyone here will win any of it?!

I was wondering how they were going to switch the theme from giving away prizes every day to not giving anything away at all. Did you hear if it was going to continue the entire year of 2008?

Through December 31, 2008 from what I've heard.

If anything the prizes this year are even better. I still want to win the DVC membership. The others would be nice but that's the one I really, really want.

Anyone know how to get on the press packet mailing list?

As a tech guy, I'm salivating over the prospect of the Sorcerer's Apprentice prize - following around an Imagineer for a day! Man oh man would I love that. . .

You cant get on the press pack mailing list. Disney calls as an anonymous "business statistics listing" and ask for your info. You have to be a radio/tv/print organization. This also can with a DVD i have yet to watch...Ill let you know whats on it

I'm hoping we get something when we take Cassidy next year.

On my last trip we were on Main Street in the bakery and one of the ladies tapped my niece on the shoulder and asked her if she would like to be the chef of the day. She was only 7 but they made a big deal over her and she got a chef's hat and apron and made a chocolate covered Mickey head rice krispie treat. They announced her name to the whole store and gave her a certificate. My sister and I cried a little. It was such a little thing but it made my niece's first trip pretty special.
That same day I went in to the town hall to pick up our MNSSHP and talked to the cast member who was making my tickets for me. He decided he was going to make me an Honorary Citizen of Walt Disney World. He gave me a pin and then I got my picture taken with the Mayor and got a gold keychain that says Magic Kingdom on it. My family thought I was a bit nutso when I came skipping down Main Street toward them with my spiffy new pin on.

I would also love, love, love breakfast on Main Street with the rest of my Disney family. But what would I wear?

I think the DVC has got to be the best prize up there. Not that a stay in the castle wouldn't be great, but DVC is the prize that would keep on giving!!

BTW forgot if I put it on here, but we were in the first group to ride HM one morning (before the refurb) and they gave about 25-30 people Dream FP. We didn't use half of them, but it's a cool souveneir

hey all i just saw a comercial last night about this on tv and all the new prizes you can get i believe it said it was starting in january!!! :)

oh see this makes sense now! i saw the commercials and didnt understand how the million year of dreams was still going on. its so cool though!!!!!

That's what I'm talking about! :mickeykid Don't get me wrong.... I wouldn't turn down a stay in Cindy's suite... but I'd rather win the DVC becuase then I'd be set for the rest of my life! :yahoo:

Lifetime DVC has gotta be the best prize! (But beware, every time someone wins a lifetime anything,they always die in 'a tragic accident' a few weeks later)
